On 20 February we will have our official launch meeting. This isn't the real details of an event - it's just here to illustrate the design.

Welcome

Greening Godalming, is a community based initiative that has been set up specifically to tackle the threat of global warming, climate change or even climate chaos as it is variously described.

We set up Greening Godalming to reach out and support people in our community who want to take action but either don't know what to do or feel powerless in the shadow of climate change. We are part of a growing number Greening communities, currently standing at over 140 in England.

Godalming is a special place to live and we want it to be part of the solution that beats climate change. In the months leading up to this fiorst meeting when ever we have contacted people and community groups about it Godalming's community spirit has shone through.

After the official launch next year we aim to get all parts of the community - from the council to local businesses, groups and individuals - involved and working together.

This is our town and our chance to make a difference, just as other communities are doing across the UK.
